What
do These Dimensions Mean?
We understand that terminology, when it comes to case measurements, can be a frustrating source of confusion. Cases come in all shapes and sizes and perform an endless list of transport services. That makes terms like top, bottom, front, back, height, depth, width and length relative to the function and position of the case, and often ambiguous. We have standardized our measuring system by dividing products into two general categories; cases and racks. The illustration below provides the standard SKB terminology for the X,Y, and Z dimensions on both rackmount products and rectangular cases.
